As a veteran-owned and operated establishment, our foundation is built on hard work and dedication—principles shared by our local husband and wife founders, Troy & Trish Rassmussen.
Since pouring our very first pint at our downtown Fayetteville brewpub on Hay Street in 2017, our mission has never wavered: to create a welcoming, family-friendly gathering spot where exceptional craft beer meets great food.
Fueled by the support of our neighbors across the Sandhills, our journey has continued to evolve. In 2021, we expanded our brewing capacity with a dedicated production facility. That chapter closed in March 2026 to make way for an even larger vision: construction is officially underway on our brand-new production brewing facility and second restaurant location at 127 S. Main Street in downtown Laurinburg, NC.

Staying true to Fayetteville's French history, the name Gaston is derived from the old French byname "gasti" meaning "guest, host or stranger".
